This 1993 publication of 936 pages is an truly amazing work. It gives a good history of the Asil* horses, the desert breeders, their use of Arabian horses as war horses, as well as much on the modern Asil horse. The book itself is a work of art with so many photographs of both horses and many brilliant paintings of Arabian horses throughout history. I am including a bonus booklet about the Asil Club.
*Asil means pureblood.
