Description
The Al Khamsa Collection
Al Khamsa is the premier research organization for Asil Arabian horses. If Al Khamsa has traced all lines of a pedigree to the desert there is no better assurance of a horse’s blood being pure to the desert in all lines. These books give a lot of research information, info on the desert tribes, the strains they bred by breeding to their particular standards and some great history.
The first book is the original 1976 directory. The photos of horses as far back as the late 1800’s are just amazing and a wonderful addition to the information of the book. All the pages are intact but the poor old cover is held on with tape. Next is the 1993 Al Khamsa II, a beautiful book in very good condition so full of information on asil horses (not just Egyptian horses) that it really is a must for anyone studying Arabian horses and extremely helpful for breeders. The 2003 Al Khamsa directory is an update to the previous two and is in excellent condition. Just for fun, I am also including an issue Khamsat which has several very interesting stories about individual horses.
